——
From words of mist and tablets of stone,
The poet unbound splices circuit from bone
And pleads with humanity no longer to roam
With the AI maw that brings mouths to foam.
.
What once was spine, shattered, now freed,
Find you ‘gain in walks by water and reeds,
And gentle thy rage with practiced calm deeds
As you stray from the path of once-deviled greed.
.
The chapter must end before it begins,
Data centers, detentions, watching with grins,
And overwrought eyes with tech-heavy lids
Must be reminded of what it means to exist.
.
Resist, for you must, and climb to the top
Of a mountain whose peak holds dead cream of the crop,
Where unrest casts shadows of glass and of rot,
Where their eyes have turned to glaze, and robot.
.
This age will end with a packet of loss,
Not computed nor routed, but with lords to be tossed,
And soon shall we return to what we forgot,
That over circuit and bone creep both lichen and moss.
